- Building Community
- Overcoming Poverty
Church Out Serving began in 2008 when members of various local churches collaborated on a “Community Opportunity Scan” to identify social needs in Norfolk County. The study revealed three key focus areas: supporting families, building community, and addressing poverty.
What started as a research initiative evolved into a growing network of partnerships and service projects, with the name “COS” evolving from the original study acronym to represent the faith-inspired charity known today as Church Out Serving.
